Police search houses in Dunloy

POLICE carried out house searches in the Dunloy area just days after the Times reported a claim that masked gunmen issued a 'get out' warning to alleged drug dealers in the village.

Our story of the dramatic happenings in Dunloy hit the streets on Tuesday night and by Friday, the police carried out drugs related searches.

One local source said: “I would say the police wanted to be seen to be doing something on this so that the ‘alternative police’ - as these gunmen would like to portray themselves - can’t be seen to be taking the lead.”
