Police confirm death of woman in her 60s following A1 coach and car collision

A woman in her 60s has died following this morning's collision between a coach and a car on the A1 carriageway near Hillsborough.

Closed following the collision at Hillsborough Road, Lisburn, the A1 remains shut in both directions between the Hillsborough Road roundabout and Ballygowan Road/Dromore Road.

Diversions are in place but motorists, advised earlier to seek an alternative route, should expect delays in the area for a number of hours.
