And, in an unusual move, they are appealing for people who may have video footage of the incident to come forward.

On Friday evening, Saturday morning around midnight an assault took place at the rear of Harry’s Bar and car park.

A male standing with his girlfriend was attacked by four males who knocked him to the ground and kicked him about the body.

As a result the victim has received a perforated ear drum and severe bruising to his body.

Police say that it is alleged that people stood by and watched the event unfold and some may well have used mobile phones to video the assault.

This, said the PSNI, is an appeal to those who filmed the incident or witnessed it to please get in touch with Constable Liam Munt at Banbridge Police on 101 and quote serial 548 of the 26/4/2015
