It will allow those visiting the exhibit to leave comments on the proposals for the design team’s consideration. The Information Exhibit will also be available on the SRC website at www.src.ac.uk between these dates along with the ability to provide comment to [email protected].

The new 4,500m2 college in Banbridge will see it become a Centre of Specialism for digital media and design.

The new campus will include outstanding new learning facilities including a state of the art Learning Resource Centre, innovation hubs, integrated student social areas and high quality dining facilities to maximise the student experience at SRC.

A unique feature of the new build project also includes a ‘design centre’ where students will be able to experience a real working learning environment through industrial design briefs and projects will be undertaken. Existing curriculum during construction phase will remain in the existing building as the new campus will be developed elsewhere on the site.

The existing football pitch and tennis courts will remain in use and will remain as part of the new development. Southern Regional College is continuing to progress the implementation of its Estates Strategy and is working closely with key stakeholders.

A business case for the estates projects was approved by the Department for Employment and Learning and the Department of Finance and Personnel for a capital investment of approximately £90m by Southern Regional College in new facilities.

The projects will see new campuses developed on the existing sites in Armagh and Banbridge while the Craigavon development will replace the Lurgan and Portadown campuses with a single new high quality campus in Craigavon.

The projects will be taken forward over the next four years and will see the new buildings being delivered in early 2020.

Southern Regional College has appointed WYG Management Services Ltd. to bring forward designs of the new builds, to lead the planning process and to assist in procurement of main contractors.

Both Armagh and Banbridge existing campuses will remain live and fully operational during the construction period of the new campuses.
