Peregrine Falcons found shot dead

A police probe has been launched after two Peregrine Falcons were shot dead in the Waringstown area.

Constable Glen Mackin explained: “On Sunday, 17 May, two Peregrine Falcons were found fatally wounded close to Thornyforde Bridge.

“The birds were recovered and sent away for post mortem examination. The birds were found to have been shot.

“Peregrine Falcons are a protected species under the Wildlife (NI) Order.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has any knowledge or information in relation to this incident in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 817 170515.”
