Following the business meeting there was interesting input from two guest speakers - Mary McNickle, Manager of Coleraine Volunteer Centre who spoke on “Safeguarding our children” and Indu Jaireth who told her fascinating story of being married in her native India at 16 years.

Coming to live in Ballymoney she was initially very homesick and missed her family. However she and her husband worked hard as well as having three children and she also completed a University Degree.

Both Indu and Narish are involved in much voluntary work in the triangle area, as well as giving support and friendship to their fellow countrymen living in the area.

The next meeting of Causeway Coast Peace Group will be the annual trip which will be an educational visit to Derry/Londonderry on Saturday 6th June.
