Pamela was dearly loved wife and mother

THE passing of Mrs Pamela Edwards took place at her home, 6 Bannview Heights, Banbridge in the early hours of Thursday morning 7th April. She was the dearly loved wife of David Edwards, devoted mother of son Paul and daughter Sarah. A woman of a cheery, engaging and friendly disposition, Pamela was held in the highest respect by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Pamela met Dave in Belfast and they were married in 1974 after a two-year courtship. They then moved to Brighton for 14 years before returning to Northern Ireland in 1988.

She was employed by Hotpoint and Electrolux as a Sales Rep to support their products in shops across the country. After this time she joined the Traffic Wardens and was in Lisburn and Banbridge for some 12 years until she retired through ill-health after a work-related accident. Never one to be kept down, she then worked for a time in the ‘War-on-Want’ shop in Bridge Street and most recently as a Co-ordinator for Clanmil Housing as Legion Court, Banbridge. Pamela had reached the age of 55 and had come to know the Lord as her Personal Saviour and Friend some 20 years ago. In January 2010 she found great strength and comfort with knowing that the Lord was there to guide her.

She was a member of All Saints Parish Church, Tullylish. She is survived by her husband Dave, son Paul, daughter Sarah, daughter-in-law Louise and Sarah’s boyfriend Johnny, her father and mother Stanley and Agnes White, her sister Barbara and brother Barry (Belfast). To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been extended.
