Just Japanese at Corran Integrated Primary

Pupils at Corran Integrated Primary School have been taking part in a new “Just Japanese” after- school club . The children have been counting, making dolls and New Year cards as well as playing a game of “Oyasumi, Oyasumi, Ohayou “ (Duck, Duck, Goose). The classes will continue weekly with Dr. Caragh Reid giving an insight into all aspects of Japanese language and culture.  INLT 04-651-CON

One parent of a P3 pupil commented, “The importance of learning languages at this age is well documented and this class incorporates fun into all that is learnt. What better a time to start learning Japanese than when Japanese companies are investing in jobs in Northern Ireland?”

Established by Dr Caragh Reid, “Just Japanese” aims to make Japanese accessible to all through fun, relaxed lessons.  Further plans for the year, include songs, fun through learning and Skype interaction with friends in Japan.
