Operation ends in Glack - man up a tree

An emergency operation near Ballykelly regarding concerns for the safety of an individual has ended, and the male involved has been taken to hospital.

Police, ambulance, fire service, and search and rescue crews were on scene just off Tartnakilly Road in Glack from early Monday where, it is understood, a male had been sitting in a tree for several hours.

A local resident said emergency services arrived at the scene at Laurel Road at approximately 5am.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police, along with other emergency services, attended the report of a concern for safety of a man in the Tartnakilly Road area of Limavady this morning, Monday 8 June. The man has now been taken to hospital.”
