Nikita wins a prestigious bursary from local college
A Dromore girl has been granted a bursary at the Southern Regional College’s prestigious Rooney Awards.
Nikita Harron, a first year student on the HND in Health and Social Care at Banbridge Campus, was announced as the winner of the Sister Michelle O’Leary Bursary by Stephen Ferris from the Rooney Alumni.
Chief Executive Brian Doran said that the College was honoured to once again receive a student bursary of £1,000 from the Rooney Fellowship Alumni.
He expressed his gratitude to the Rooney Alumni for remembering the values that underpin the Rooney Fellowship and the work of Sr Michelle – one of generosity, selflessness and support for others.
