New police district commander is appointed
The PSNI has appointed Chief Superintendent Raymond Murray as the new District Commander for H District, covering Larne, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Moyle and Coleraine.
He replaces temporary C/Supt Brian Kee, who moved to C District.
C/Supt Murray said: “I am proud to take on the role and look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
“The priorities for local police include tackling illegal drugs, increasing road safety, protecting vulnerable people and reducing violent crime and burglaries.”
