Nan ‘will be sorely missed’

A founder member of a Banbridge-based charity has been fondly remembered by the Macmillan Cancer Support group.

Nan Elliott from Corbet who passed away last week was praised for helping to raise vital funds for the cancer charity.

A spokesperson for the Macmillan Cancer Support said, “Nan was a founder member of the Macmillan Cancer Support Banbridge Fundraising Committee and dedicated her time to raising vital funds and awareness of Macmillan services in the local area for many years. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this very sad time.” Nan (59), who died after a short illness at Craigavon Hospital, organised tractor runs, donkey derbies and raised cash to help buy a St John Ambulance.
