Murder accused Dromore man to appear in court on other matters

Dromore double murder accused Leslie Ross will be produced today (Tuesday) at Armagh Magistrates Court for interview about other offences.

PPS prosecutor Mr Murphy told last week’s Banbridge Court that he will be interviewed about other matters - not murder.

Ross was appearing via video-link for an update on his Preliminary Enquiry which is listed for 26th June.

Mr Murphy said the PE papers were being copied and should be available next week.

He said the papers were “very voluminous and lengthy” adding there would be hearsay and bad character applications.

The court agreed to a review in three weeks time.

Ross is charged with murdering Margaret Weise on 31 August 2007 and Michelle Bickerstaff on 21 April 2012.

He is also charged with indecently assaulting a female, gross indecency with a child and indecently assaulting a female child, on dates between January 1979 and June 1990.
