“Bannside Presbyterian Church sent the first group to Uganda in 2010,” explained Mr Simpson. “They raised £40,000 towards the build project which included 3 classrooms and additional storage rooms for teaching staff. “The team of volunteers who are heading off to Uganda in June are very enthusiastic and I support their efforts wholeheartedly. “So many children are set to benefit from this second phase which will give them a chance of a decent education, something which we at home on occasion can take for granted.

“I want to express my thanks to everyone at Bannside Presbyterian Church for the work they do in Uganda and I wish the team well as they continue to raise the vital funds to complete the second phase of the project,” he added.
