MP holds business breakfast

Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) have thanked David Simpson MP for selecting the charity as one of those to benefit from his Business Breakfast.

Mr Simpson hosted the event in Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre on January 22 and it was attended by over 180 business delegates.

The Guest Speaker was First Minister Arlene Foster MLA, one of her first official engagements since taking office of First Minister of Northern Ireland.

MRF were delighted to receive a very generous donation of £848 raised by the proceeds of the Business Breakfast.

On Thursday February 18 local MRF member, Mary Stafford, attended a cheque presentation on behalf of the charity.

Mary commented, “I am delighted to be receiving this donation as this is a charity which is very close to my heart.”

Mary sadly lost her daughter, Ruth, to meningitis in 2002 at the age 23.
