MP demands action on SF expenses
Upper Bann MP David Simpson said he is angered that expenses are still being awarded to MPs who are not sitting in the House of Commons.
Mr Simpson said, “We have eight Sinn Fein MPs who are refusing to sit on the green benches of Westminster. They do not refuse the Parliamentary expenses that come with that. The PM made a public commitment to take action and deal with this. Many of you will ask why our PM reneged on this commitment.
“The British treasury are denying funding to so many vital services, they still see fit to award the Sinn Fein representatives with financial assistance.”
