As part of his visit to Iveagh Presbytery, Dr McNie, visited the school along with his wife Ann and Rev George McClelland, Minister of Tandragee Presbyterian Church and Moderator of Iveagh Presbytery. After assembly, principal Mr McLoughlin gave the party a tour of the school buildings where they visited the Religious Studies department and the Moderator got a chance to view the pupils’ work and displays. There followed a discussion on the significance of the recent REQM Gold Award with Mr Brown and Mrs Hassard.

Dr McNie also met with GCSE and A Level Religious Studies pupils who were impressed by the thorough, honest and sensitive responses he gave during a question and answer session. He touched on a wide range of contemporary issues affecting Ethics, Society and Church and State.
