Once again tens of thousands of people attended the event and the Upper Bann MLA said: “The annual 13th of July celebrations are a fantastic showcase for the Royal Black Preceptory.

“Although the weather wasn’t perfect for the entire day it was still an enjoyable, family-orientated event.

“Scarva is always one of the highlights of the year bringing together people from all over the country and it is with great pride that this is within my Upper Bann constituency.

“I want to place on record my thanks to all the organisers of the parade particularly RBP 1000 and the Royal 13th committee. I also want to commend the loyal orders for their organisation and impeccable order. Despite some attempting to inflame situations the they acted with restraint.

“I look forward to working with the organisers to continue to build on this already superb event.”
