MLA helps Tilly mark her 99th birthday

Celebrating a special birthday at the weekend, Matilda McCready numbered Lagan Vally MLA Brenda Hale among those to offer their congratulations.

Matilda, or ‘Tilly’, as she is fondly known, lives with close family in the Dromore area.

She marked her 99th birthday on Sunday.

Taking time out to call with Tilly, Mrs Hale delivered flowers and a birthday card.

“I was privileged,” she said, “to be able to call with David Ferguson and meet with his Aunt Tilly this week, to wish her a very happy 99th birthday.

“We enjoyed a chat and she was able to tell me about her upbringing and how times have changed.

“I wish her continued good health and God’s blessing.”
