Michaela Girls Camp this July

YOUNG teenage girls are being invited to take part in a fun summer camp his July, in the spirit in which Michaela McAreavey lived her life.

The camp is open to 11-year-olds to 13-year-olds and will incorporate some of the things most important to Michaela, according to her husband John.

“My vision for the camp, which I worked on last year, was based on 5 core ‘elements’ - Faith, Fashion, Fun, Irish and Well-being.

“I wanted to establish a camp for young girls aged 11-13 that would provide them with an environment which reflects the core values of The Michaela Foundation whilst having the most fun a camp can offer.”

John, who lives in Tullylish where he and his wife Michaela had planned to settle following their wedding in December 2010, said the camp will give those who take part a sense of empowerment.

“We have put together a great team who together will present a fun packed week of activities that will leave the girls exhilarated. Activities include new fashion styles, cupcake design, making rose bath bombs, healthy eating, Irish singing, understanding the rosary and a lot more! There is so much happening in this camp, only those who attend will truly appreciate the ‘The Michaela Girls Camp experience!’”

The camp be hosted in Glencull Primary School, near Ballygawley and will take place from Monday July 16 to Friday July 20. Camp will start each day at 9.45am and finish at 3.30pm.
