Men plead not guilty to theft

Two young men pleaded not guilty last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court to a £2,500 theft.

They were Harry McArdle (18), Lairds Road, Katesbridge, and Stuart Porter (21), Banbridge Road, Gilford. Both are charged with the theft of a gearstick worth £2,500 on March 20 this year.

They pleaded not guilty and consented to have the case heard in the magistrates’ court. Porter also pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of criminal property on March 22 this year.

The case was adjourned until October 20 so that a date could be fixed for their trial.
