Meeting to decide future of Cafe Lagoon
AMID rumours of the closure of the cafe at Banbridge Leisure Centre, the council have released a statement ahead of tonight’s council meeting.
“At the full statutory council meeting the Council will consider an option to ensure there is a continuation of the catering service at Banbridge Leisure Centre’s Café Lagoon.
“This will provide an opportunity to invite catering suppliers to tender for a three-year contract. It is anticipated that a more permanent contractor will be in place in three to four months.
“If the council agrees this option, Café Lagoon will remain open in the intervening period but will operate with reduced opening hours.”
