McDonald’s to open in Banbridge this summer

Banbridge’s very own McDonald’s drive-thru is set to open later this year.

The new restaurant, which is to be built in the car-park at The Outlet, has been given the green light and is expected the fling wide its doors in July.

A planning application had been submitted over two years ago and has finally got the go-ahead.

The restaurant will include a two lane drive-thru.

The contract to build the new McDonald’s was awarded to Turkington Construction.

The Portadown company announced the news on Facebook: “Turkington Construction have been awarded the contract for the new McDonalds Restaurant at ‘The Outlet’ in Banbridge.

“The building will be the global restaurant chain’s second new build restaurant in Northern Ireland since 2001.”
