McDade in charity Belfast marathonrun
Pat McDade – who is running for a seat in the Lurgan DEA - was part of a five-strong team that participated in the Bank Holiday Belfast marathon.
Mr McDade, chairman of the Lurgan SDLP branch, said he was back on the campaign trail just hours after completing his leg of the relay.

I suppose 30-odd years of referring GAA matches has helped keep me reasonably fit. Plus, the last few weeks of canvassing has given me that bit of extra stamina.
“On Monday, along with Fearghal Laverty, Orla Hoy, Roisin and Paul McQuillan, we raised money for St Patrick’s PS, Magheralin. I know my leg was 5.3 miles and not the entire 26.2miles, but it was a great team effort on behalf of all of us and it is a nice way to give back to the community. We want to thank everyone who donated.”
