Maverick Sabre added to Vital line-up

TENNENT’S Vital & MCD are thrilled to announce that Maverick Sabre will join Stone Roses, Florence and The Machine, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Gerard i2 on day two of Tennent’s Vital.

Maverick Sabre is one of music’s fastest rising stars. The London born, Irish raised star’s gritty yet soulful voice is drawing audiences in and leaving them hooked. He stormed the UK charts last summer with the anthemic single ‘Let Me Go’ and followed that up with the brilliant debut album ‘Lonely Are The Brave’ which reached No.2 in the UK and No.3 in Ireland. Fresh from success at some of the UK and Europe’s biggest festivals, Maverick Sabre makes his appearance at Tennent’s Vital on 22 August.

The Stone Roses’ headline performance on day two will be the last date on their record breaking reunion tour.

Their seminal music defined an era and now The Stone Roses’ ‘live resurrection’ is being hailed as the most successful comeback in musical history. Their triumphant homecoming gigs in Manchester’s Heaton Park look set to enter musical folklore and they followed that up with a sensational headline set at T in The Park.

In between, the band wowed 50,000 happy fans at Dublin’s Phoenix Park with The Irish Times praising their performance as “magnificent” and observing that “the crowd joyfully sang along with almost every word as The Roses worked their way through their now classic repertoire”.

Joining Stone Roses on day two of Tennent’s Vital is Florence and The Machine. The UK chart topping ‘Ceremonials’ has seen Florence + The Machine achieve massive success around the globe with the stunning singles No Light, No Light and Shake It Out. Florence’s debut Lungs sold over three million copies, won the coveted Brits ‘Best Album’ award and etched itself indelibly into the popular consciousness.

Guitar virtuosos Rodrigo Y Gabriela and rising Northern Irish hip hop star Gerard i2 complete the line-up for day two.

The Black Keys are unquestionably one of the hottest bands in the world right now. They’ve just headlined some of America’s biggest festivals, including Coachella and their two most recent singles Lonely Boy and Gold On The Ceiling have been massive global hits. Current album El Camino reached No.2 on the Billboard charts and followed similar success for their previous album Brothers which won three Grammys and was Rolling Stone Magazine’s album of the year.
