Man hospitalised in Limavady in overnight assault

A man has been hospitalised in an overnight assault in Limavady town centre, the PSNI have said.

The victim was allegedly punched after an attacker got out of a car in the incident, which the PSNI say took place shortly after 1.30am in Catherine Street.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police in Limavady are appealing for information about an assault.

“The incident occurred at Catherine Street shortly after 1.30am today, Monday June 8. A man aged 27 was taken to hospital after he was allegedly punched by an assailant who got out of a car.

“Information can be given on the police non-emergency number, 101, or by calling the Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
