Kristofer Crangle, Limewood, Banbridge, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months for possession of a class B drug, cannabis, on December 16 last year.

The court heard the drug was found in a tobacco tin in his front trouser pocket. He said it was for his own use.

A solicitor representing Crangle said he had one previous similar conviction three years ago. She added that he had been abstaining since then but on the day in question he succumbed in a moment of madness.
