Man facing drugs charges

Gareth Patrick McCartan, Oak Grove, Banbridge, appeared at a preliminary enquiry held last Thursday at Newry courthouse.

The charges against him allege that on July 25 last year he had unlawfully in his possession class B drugs, cannabis and methadrone, and he had them with intent to supply.

The defendant is also charged with having a counterfeit Bank of Ireland £10 note.

McCartan was remanded on his own bail of £500 to appear again for an arraignment hearing at Newry Crown Court on December 1.
