Man carrying Stanley knife fled from burglary in Coalisland

DETECTIVES in Dungannon are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary, which occurred in the Canal Quay area of Coalisland on Friday 2nd August, between the hours of 8.30am and 9.00am.

The householder left home briefly at 8.30am and returned at 9.00am. When the householder returned they found a male in the upstairs of the property. The male is described as being in his early 20’s, of skinny build, with a swarthy complexion, a pierced left eye brow with a silver/grey stud, about 6ft tall, black spiked hair.

He was wearing a black coloured hoodie with white drawstrings and no pockets. The hood was pulled up. He also had a navy coloured scarf pulled up over his face, denim blue jeans and white flat soled trainers.

The male also had an orange handled Stanley knife. This male made off from the property in the direction of the Washingbay Road/Clonabay area of Coalisland.

Police would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed anything or who may have information which might help the police with their enquiries, or saw someone matching this description in the Coalisland town area to contact Detectives at Dungannon CID Office on 0845 600 8000.
