Man admits drink driving charge

A Banbridge man narrowly avoided losing his driving licence after pleading guilty to drink driving.

Christopher Scott McGreevy, 21, from Summerhill in Banbridge, appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court this week.

The court heard that on June 10, 2013 at 5.10pm, there was a report of males drinking in Howard Place. The defendant provided a specimen of breath at the side of the road, which he failed. He was arrested but failed to provide a further specimen test at the custody suite.

District Judge White imposed a fine of £250 and a defender’s levy of £15. He also endorsed the defendant’s licence with ten penalty points.
