'Major incident' on Garvaghy Road
The Garavghy Road in Portadown was closed for a time this morning (Sunday, August 13) due to what police described as a 'major incident'.
According to local sources two men were assaulted. It's believed a man has died as a result of the incident but ithis has not yet been confirmed by police.
The road was reopened around 10am. Police had earlier closed a stretch of the road with no through traffic between the junction at Rose Cottages and Ashgrove Road.
