“Lynsey is a student nurse with a very bubbly, friendly, caring personality and will be a great ambassador for this country.”

In the run up to the final Lynsey and the other competitors took part in a variety of fund raising events to raise money and awareness for the nominated charities which were Headway (brain injury charity) and Down’s and Proud (down syndrome charity).

Lynsey said the whole experience has been great fun and taking part in the competition has given her an opportunity to make new friends and give something back to very worthy charities.

She is looking forward to travelling to Paris and will continue to fund raise and organise a number of events in the coming months.

Lynsey took part in a range of charity events that her family also got involved in.

Her brother Matthew had his chest waxed and collected sponsors and her sister Kirsty, a primary teacher and head of KS2 arranged for Lynsey to come into her school and talk to children about the charity. The children raised money by having a sponsored wear a hat to school day.

Lynsey would like to thank everyone who has supported her and donated to the selected charities.
