Since November, the builders have been hard at work on the site and the building is now almost completed.

A spokesman for the District Lodge said they were confident the builders would be finished on time and that they were looking forward to welcoming a large turnout for their Grand Openin.

The building, which in total measures in excess of 6000 sq ft comprises of entrance hall, toilets, a large function room, kitchen and stores, all on the ground floor.

There is a spacious Lodge meeting room on the first floor as well as a toilet and office.

“All in all it is quite a spectacular building” said the spokesman.

“It has cost a considerable amount of money but we are confident that the Brethren and the local community will support us.”

So keep the July 8 free and come along.
