DUP Councillor Carla Lockhart has congratulated the people involved and their nominees to mark their inclusion on the New Years Honours list.
Cllr Lockhart said: “I count a Queen’s honour as one of the highest accolades that a person can be awarded for their service to the community.
“This year I was overwhelmed to see so many local people from right across the Upper Bann area achieve such a reward. Cllr Elizabeth Ingram for services to local council and Mr Roy Harrison for services to Waringstown Cricket club. These people have impacted the lives of so many.
“They have never sought fame or fortune for their work and to obtain such an award is a great honour.
“I would congratulate them all and wish them well as they make their way to London to obtain their award. “
