People living in the Banbridge area are being urged to take a trip to the Mourne Mountains, Cooley Peninsula and Ring of Gullion area for a unique tourism experience.
The area, covering counties Armagh, Down and Louth, is the focus for a new ‘Mourne Cooley Gullion Geotourism’ initiative, launched last week.
The project will promote and enhance the profile of the three areas within one tourism destination.
The area already holds some outstanding tourist attractions, including the Mourne Coastal Route.
Encouraging local people to pay a visit Geotourism Manager, John Devaney said, “The region possesses some significant geological features that have helped to shape the extraordinary landscape around us.” For more information visit www.mournecooleygullion.com
