Local kids areinvited to ‘Beat It’
NEW youth percussion group ‘Beat It!’ begins this weekend in Glenavy.
The group is supported by Lisburn Arts Advisory Committee and gives children aged 7-13 the opportunity to explore musical styles from around the world such as Brazilian Samba drumming, African drumming and pop music. This week the group will be getting a taste of Brazil, and discovering the sounds of Samba.
‘Beat It!’ gives children in the community a chance to experience music from other cultures, make new friends and participate in public performances.
