Laurencetown man is returned for trial to face drugs charges

A 36-year-old man has been returned for trial to Newry Crown Court accused of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Timothy Sean Maginess, Millar Park, Laurencetown, appeared last Thursday at a preliminary enquiry at Newry courthouse.

The first charge against him alleges that on May 31, 2013, he posted a parcel at Banbridge Post Office which was capable in encouraging or assisting in drugs offences.

He is also charged that on June 3, 2103, he had in his possession a class B drug, methylecathinone, with intent to supply.

A third charge alleges that on May 31, 2013, he had in his possession a class B drug, methylecathinone.

Maginess was remanded on his own bail of £500 to appear for arraignment at Newry Crown Court on September 29.
