Is this your dog?

BALLYMONEY Borough Council is desperately looking for the local owner of this lovely ‘old man’.

Nicknamed ‘Major’ by staff at the Ballymoney Dog Pound, this Golden Labrador has ‘misplaced’ his family. Believed to be nine or 10 years old, he was found wandering alone on the Tullaghans Road, around the Mullan Road junction last week.

Karen Mitchell, Ballymoney Borough Council Environmental Warden explained: “Someone found Major walking along the Tullaghans Road looking lost.

“He is about nine or 10 years old and we believe he must have wandered off and got lost.

“He’s such a good natured dog and he must have a loving family somewhere who are desperately looking for him or have even given up fearing the worst.

“Major is not used to being in kennels and we would really love to get him back to his owner so he can enjoy his remaining years of life with the home comforts he’s used to.”

If you know anything about the dog or his owners please contact Karen Mitchell at Borough Services on telephone: 028 2766 0257 or email Karen at [email protected]
