Invite to join journeyto Israelnext year

A TRIP to Israel has been organised for next year and local people are being encouraged to sign up.

Jim Neill, a parishioner of St Pauls Parish Lisburn and a Diocesan Lay Reader in the Diocese of Connor led a group to Israel, the land of the Bible, in 2001 and intends to do the same again next year.

Jim plans to lead another group from May 14 - May 24 2013. The cost will be £1475 per person half-board including return flights and all taxes. Payment can be made by stages. First payment of £200 per person by June 30 2012, second £425 by September 31 2012, third £425 by December 31 2012 and the final payment of £425 by March 6 2013.

Places are on a first come first served basis and the group will be limited to 42 places. The group will be restricted to an adult age group.

Jim said: “We will enjoy four nights in Tiberius visiting Capernaum, Tabgha, Golan, Baniās, River Jordan (Kayaking for those who wish to participate) Mount Carmel, Caesarea, Nazareth and many more. Six nights in Jerusalem visiting the Old City, garden of Gethsemane, Garden Tomb, Caiaphas House, David Citadel Museum, Yad Vashem (Memorial of Jewish Holocaust) shrine of the Book. Enjoy a day trip to the Dead Sea and Masada Oumran where the dead Scrolls were found. Special highlights will be communion Service at the Garden Tomb, Passover Meal trip to Atlantic Nazareth village demonstrating the industry of Galilee area and boat trip across Sea of Galilee. All entrance fees are included.
