Investigation after collision involving cyclist and tractor

Police in Banbridge investigating a serious road traffic collision on the Aughnacloy Road yesterday evening (Tuesday).

At approximately 7.40pm it was reported that a collision involving a cyclist and a tractor occurred on the Aughnacloy Road between Drone Hill Road and Castlevennan Road. The male cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are described as serious.

The Senior Investigating Officer, Inspector Kieran Quinn is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Aughnacloy Road yesterday evening to contact them at Banbridge Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
