Indecent image and voyeurism charges

The case of a 24-year-old man accused of making and having an indecent photograph of a child and voyeurism is now with the Public Prosecution Service.

Christopher Daniel Byrne, Bluebell Walk, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, appeared in the dock last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

He is charged that on May 29 last year in the county court division of Armagh and South Down he made an indecent or pseudo photo of a child.

It is also alleged that he had in his possession an indecent or pseudo photo of a child and that for the purpose of sexual gratification he recorded another person doing a sexual act and that person did not consent.

A prosecutor said that the National Crime Agency had delivered the file to the Public Prosecution Service in Belfast.

He explained that the file has to be allocated and asked for a four week adjournment for an update.

The matter was put back until July 7.
