Highest number of road crashes in Lisburn

Lisburn saw the highest number of road crashes in Northern Ireland over the last two years, new statistics have revealed.

A study published by the investigative website The Detail revealed that there were 100 collisions and 99 people seriously injured on the roads in Lisburn during 2013/14.

The Lisburn crash rate was five times higher than the area with the lowest number of reported collisions, Cookstown, where there were 20 collisions.
