MP meets with Health Trust

Upper Bann MP David Simpson has met with the Chief Executive of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Mairead McAlinden, to discuss future attempts to combat the financial shortfall within the Health Service.

“I want to pay tribute to the work of Mairead and her dedicated team for their ongoing delivery of healthcare throughout the Southern Trust,” said Mr Simpson.

“We cannot hide from the financial severities that are presently being felt across the Southern Trust and they must be tackled in a professional and competent way.

“During discussions with the Chief Executive, I sought assurances that no job losses would occur as a result of any change in delivery,” concluded Mr Simpson.
