Speaking of their achievement, proprietor Julie Edens said: “I am so pleased - it’s been great to get this recognition. It’s good to know your doing your job right and that parents are happy with our service”.

Bella Bambinos currently has a full-time equivalent of 28 employees and the award has served to boost morale among the workers.

Julie said: “It’s been great for our staff. They were all really over the moon about the award”.

Striving to maintain the highest levels of customer service Julie said: “Our staff have all attended customer service training. We set ourselves very high standards in relation to training and go over and above what is necessary”.

“A lot of our staff are also mums themselves, and so they know how important communication with parents is and how important it is to work in partnership with them. I believe this is why the parents have nominated us.”

The family run day nursery is situated on the outskirts of Dromore and works hard to provide a fun and loving environment for the children in its care, whilst also offering excellent new facilities.

Julie says it has always been important to them to strive to offer the best service possible.

“We try to stand out from other nurseries by offering different services such as a number of annual events for parents and grandparents and a pamper evening for mums. All these things make for good partnership with parents.”

Julie is rightly proud of the reputation the nursery has earned since it opened 5 years ago. Along with several awards they picked up in 2013 including Ni4kids childcare award and Boost Better Breaks Award, the nursery has also fared well in all its inspections.

“We haven’t received a single recommendation in any of our Social Services Inspections since we opened, which we believe is a first in Northern Ireland” said Julie. “We want to be inspected - it keeps us motivated to maintain the highest standards possible”.

“It has been wonderful to get this award and know that all our hard work as a team has been acknowledged.”
