HandyVan service for older people

THE Age NI HandyVan service supports older people to live independently at home for longer by providing and fitting a range of home safety and security products.

HandyVan is a free service available to people aged 60 and over, with less than 10,000 in savings. It is delivered by fully qualified HandyVan fitters who visit older people’s homes and assess what safety and security measures and small repairs are needed.

Subject to approval they will install the necessary equipment including smoke alarms, door chains and viewers, window locks and mortice locks & bolts.
