Had knuckle duster and knife

Jonathan Dean Gartland, Scarva Walk, Banbridge, will be sentenced next month at the local magistrates’ court.

He has admitted possessing an offensive weapon, namely a dumb bell locking nut as a knuckle duster, at Scarva Place, Banbridge.

Gartland has also pleaded guilty to a second possession of an offensive weapon, a pocket knife, on the same date and location.

No facts were outlined in the case and it was adjourned until December 3 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
