Groups urged to host Giant Wiggle
Leading charity Action for Children is teaming up with The World of Eric Carle and encouraging Sure Start centres, nurseries and groups for under fives in Banbridge to host a Giant Wiggle on Thursday March 19 to celebrate the UK’s most read children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The event will bring together under-5s across Northern Ireland to wiggle along in giant caterpillar conga lines, encouraging them to help others, and opening up their imaginations through storytelling and creative activities.
In March 2014, more than 32,000 children from nearly 800 schools and nurseries took part in The Giant Wiggle, raising £80,000 for Action for Children.
