Go ‘walkies’ in aid of animal rescue charity

Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary (CLAS) is holding its annual Sponsored Dog Walk on Saturday, May 10, leaving the Sanctuary at 1pm with light refreshments on return.
Sarah, pictured, who is currently in the care of Crosskennan Animal Sanctuary, is still looking for a special loving home that can accommodate her needs. She is completely deaf and partially blind but still has bundles of energy to burn so she would need a large enclosed run and plenty of regular long walks.Sarah, pictured, who is currently in the care of Crosskennan Animal Sanctuary, is still looking for a special loving home that can accommodate her needs. Traditionally, this is a chance for everyone to get together to support the charity and to bring their dogs, many of whom are rescued dogs, on a four mile sponsored walk or simply come with friends and family.

The route is along country roads and is suitable for buggies and well behaved dogs on leads. Some of the charity’s horses and ponies will also enjoy the walk.

If you can’t make it to the walk, you can still help by sponsoring one of the charity’s rescued dogs who will be taking part or, why not hold an event in your own area and ask friends and family to sponsor.

Donations can be made to the charity by several methods. By cheques made payable to CLAS, via the Donate buttons on Crosskennan’s facebook page and website or by texting CLAS52 followed by the amount you wish to donate to 70070 eg CLAS52 5. Or donate online: http://www.justgiving.com/Crosskennan-Lane-Animal-Sanctuary1

If you are interested in taking part and would like a sponsor pack or are interested in helping the charity in any way, please phone CLAS on 028 9446 5384 or email [email protected].

All the money collected will go directly towards the care of the horses, dogs, cats and chickens at Crosskennan.
