Gilford to light up this Christmas

GILFORD’S annual Christmas switch-on will take place on Wednesday December 5 at 7pm.

Proceedings will take place outside Gilford Library with the event beginning with a Christmas service delivered by local clergy with music and carols provided by Poyntzpass Silver Band and pupils from St. John’s and Gilford Primary Schools.

Following the service at 7.30pm there will be a Christmas party at Gilford Community Centre, Stramore Road where parents and children are invited to enjoy a magic show courtesy of entertainer Johnny Kielty and of course a very special guest will be popping in too - Santa!

Please note that Mill Street, from the Banbridge Road roundabout, as far as the Dunbarton Street junction with Castle Hill will be closed to traffic from 6.45pm until 7.30pm for the event and diversions will be in place during this time.
