Further remand for Banbridge trio facing assault charges

Three people allegedly involved in an incident at Limewood in Banbridge on June 20 this year have been remanded again at the local magistrates' court.

Ellen Fiona McDonagh (24), Martin Gerard McDonagh (26) and John Stokes (23), all with an address at Oak Grove, Banbridge, appeared together in the dock.

Ellen McDonagh faces a charge of common assault on a female.

Martin McDonagh is charged with having an offensive weapon, a pick axe handle, assault occasioning actual bodily harm on a male, possessing an offensive weapon, a machete and disorderly behaviour at Limewood.

The charges against Stokes allege criminal damage to a vehicle, disorderly behaviour, the theft of ignition keys, possessing an offensive weapon, a slash hook, and unlawful assault on a female.

All three were remanded to appear again on September 8.

Banbridge
